Frequently asked questions
How fast can you clean my site?
Most cleanups are finished within one to two days. With the emergency option, work starts within hours, and the attack is usually contained the same day.
Do you need my hosting login?
The best access is SFTP or SSH plus a WordPress admin account; hosting panel access helps with logs and backups. Access is used only for the cleanup, and you can change all passwords afterwards.
My host restored a backup. Is that enough?
Often not. If the backup was taken after the attacker got in, the backdoor comes back with it, and the original vulnerability is still there. The entry point has to be found and closed.
Will the malware come back?
Not if the backdoors are removed, the entry point is closed and the site is kept updated. Monitoring through a care plan catches any new problem early.
