The Challenge
GCII is one church with many branches. Each branch is in a different city or country.
Visitors needed to find a branch near them. Partners needed to see the outreach work they could support.
The site had to feel warm and spiritual, not corporate.
The Solution
I organized the homepage around connection. Visitors see how to meet up, then read about the church.
Branch cards show each location in one tidy grid. Counters give a quick sense of the church's reach.
Outreach programs each have their own page with a story and a donate button.
The Results
Members can find their branch from the homepage. New visitors learn the church's mission in a few lines.
Partners can read about each outreach and give online. The church now has one home for every branch.
The site works on any phone, for members in every country.
What I Built
This church website serves Greensville Church International (GCII), known as “The Pool of Bethesda”. Its international headquarters is in Raleigh, North Carolina, with branches in several countries. Here is what I built.
- Welcoming homepage. Meet-up and about blocks invite visitors to connect right away.
- Branches across the world. USA, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and other branches each get a card.
- Church at a glance. Counters show branches, states, countries and members.
- Mission and vision. Short statements explain what the church believes and pursues.
- Outreach pages. Outreach to Ukraine, Light Up Africa, small groups and the church constitution each have a page.
- Giving. Outreach pages include a donate button for partners.
- Ministry services. Food pantry, livestream, counseling, healing school and more appear on the about page.
The result is a church website that connects members across countries and invites new visitors in.
