The Challenge
LumiKids sells to two very different buyers. Parents buy one outfit. Shops buy dozens.
Most stores solve this with two websites or a clumsy plugin. That doubles the work and splits the stock.
In Bangladesh, many shoppers also prefer a phone number over email. The store had to work that way.
The Solution
I built a custom plugin that adds a wholesale engine to WooCommerce. Approved buyers get wholesale prices, applied safely on the server.
Accounts use the phone number as the main identity. One person means one account, and email can be added later.
A custom theme handles the design. Every color, section and page text is editable from one admin menu.
The Results
LumiKids now runs retail and wholesale from one store and one stock list. Wholesale leads are saved, even before their first order.
Shoppers sign up in seconds with a phone number. Staff change the homepage without touching code.
The same theme and plugin later powered a second brand, Arlens Leather.
What I Built
This wholesale WooCommerce store powers LumiKids, a kids fashion brand. Parents buy single outfits at retail prices. Shop owners buy in bulk at wholesale prices, on the same site. Here is what I built.
- Custom theme and plugin. I wrote both from scratch. WooCommerce stays untouched as the commerce engine.
- Retail and wholesale in one store. Approved wholesale buyers see wholesale prices across the catalog when signed in.
- Server-side price rules. Wholesale prices are applied on the server, so they cannot be faked in the browser.
- Phone-first accounts. Customers sign up with a mobile number. Email is optional, and duplicate numbers are blocked.
- Wholesale sign-up page. Shops register in three steps: register, get approved, then order and restock.
- Shop filters. Buyers filter by age group, category, price and offers.
- One control panel. Colors, fonts, header, footer, homepage sections and page content are all editable from one admin menu.
The result is a wholesale WooCommerce store that serves families and resellers without two separate websites.
