The Challenge
Straighter Sport works across two countries. Parents in the USA and Nigeria needed the same clear story.
The academy also wanted to stand out. Many sports programs look alike online.
Most visitors arrive on phones. Registration had to be easy on a small screen.
The Solution
I used strong action photos and short, bold headlines. Each page focuses on one question a parent or player asks.
The academy page explains the training model in three steps. The about page covers mission, vision and the coaching team.
Registration buttons appear on key pages. Contact details for both countries sit in every footer.
The Results
Parents and players now see the full program in a few scrolls. They can register without calling first.
The team section puts real faces behind the academy. That builds trust before the first session.
The site gives the academy one home for both its US and Nigerian programs.
What I Built
This sports academy website serves Straighter Sport, a sports academy and league with a strong football focus. It runs programs in Raleigh, North Carolina, and in Abuja and Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. Young players learn about training and register online. Here is what I built.
- Bold homepage. A full-width hero invites players to start a professional football path.
- Programs offered. Football, basketball and tennis each have a program card on the academy page.
- Academy page. It explains the three-part approach: elite training, education first, and academic partnerships.
- Key features. Coaching, facilities, international exposure and education each get a clear block.
- Team profiles. The founder, head coach and program manager appear with photos and roles.
- Mission and vision. The about page shares the values behind the academy and its league.
- Online registration. A “registration is ongoing” call to action sends players to the apply form.
- Two-country contact details. US and Nigerian phone numbers sit in the footer of every page.
The result is a sports academy website that feels energetic and makes signing up simple.
